Totally different amplifier and comes from further along the evolutionary path of tube amp design. The CUB 10 is a Class A/B design and produces 10 watts RMS of power from an output section loaded with a pair of 6v6GT's, driven from a pre amp loaded with 2 ECC83's. The pre amp compliment consists of a Tone control, a Volume control and a Gain control, along with a set of Hi & Lo input jacks. The CUB 10 houses a 10" Celestion driver. The CUB 10's Class A/B

The new CUB12R features great straight ahead vintage valve tone with a splash of high quality reverb. The CUB12R houses a Celestion 12 inch driver and pushes out up to 15 watts RMS of pure vintage valve tone, we say up to 15 watts RMS as it has the option of running at significantly less output but more on that in a moment.

Lets take a look at the preamp, this consists of the following controls from right to left - gain, treble, middle, bass, volume, tone and finally reverb.

The CUB12R's valve complement consists of 3 x ECC83 valves in the preamp giving you the ability to dial in plenty of gain, and the output section consists of 2 x EL84 output valves, which give you that classic British tonality to the amp when they are pushed hard. The CUB12R features a nifty output trick - if you look at the front panel you'll notice two input sockets, one labelled 15W, the other labelled <1W. If you plug into the 15W socket you get the full power of the amp, 15 Watts of wonderfully warm valve tone. Plug into the <1W and you get .75 of a Watt output. This allows you to drive the amplifier as hard as you like, giving you masses of power amp compression and a pleasing break up for that elusive DARK ART tone.

The CUB12R's rear panel features everything you'll need, additional speaker outs with both 8 & 16 Ohm options, a footswitch socket for switching the reverb and an effects loop. The CUB12R offers a welcome addition to the Laney tube amp range giving everyone the opportunity to experience the sound and feel of a good quality tube amp.

Lionheart represents everything we've learned through forty years of Laney tube heritage, distilled into a single amplifier range. Designed to deliver the ultimate tone of a tube being pushed hard - warm and expressive, at an output level which can be used in everyday environments. This amp provides the evocative, classic tones of hot tubes pushed hard, but at a volume level your neighbours can live with! Featuring the purest of designs - 'single-ended' Class A output achieved with a single EL84, driven from 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes. The L5T-112 also features gold plated PCB's and jack sockets. Sealed gold contact relays are used in all signal paths for minimum sound coloration, and the amp comes fitted with the renowned "Type 4" large spring line reverb for the classic guitar reverb sound. Each L5T-112 features a hand stamped 'build number' in the order they come off the Laney production line, and comes with a custom made 'Lionheart' dust cover.

The Laney PRISM P20

Guitar Amplifier Combo follows the Laney philosophy in Digital amp design. The PRISM P20 features a logically laid out pre amp which gives you clear access to everything you need.

The left hand side of the Laney PRISM P35 houses the AMP settings and the mode selection switches and onboard tuner, the centre of the pre amp features the conventional amplifier controls and the right hand side of the pre amp is devoted to handling the effects side of things and the overall master volume control. The Laney P20 generates 15 watts RMS output and houses an 8" Custom Driver. Round the back of the unit the rear panel houses an extension speaker out, a phones / record out socket and the FS2 and FS1 footswitch sockets to enable foot switching of the user channels. The top of the unit is finished off with a very stylish moulded handle. The P20 can be used in one of two modes - HERO & LIVE. HERO mode comes pre-loaded with 11 inspirational guitar tones from "Clean to Extreme" which take their inspiration from the different amp and effects combinations used on classic guitar recordings. In LIVE mode the P20's controls function like a conventional amplifier, but with the cool feature of being able to use one of the 11 different AMP settings as a starting point for producing your own tone. Simply select the AMP mode you want, adjust the controls to suit and the add the effects you want and then store the end result to one of the four user channels, simply holding the desired channel button for 2 seconds.
